The tasting room features an antique bar originally from the Green Tree Saloon in San Antonio. There are 46 acres of French vinifera grapevines and 3 acres of lavender growing at the winery. Grape growing and wine making techniques follow strict French practices of limited yield, barrel fermentation and aging of red and white wines. The traditional wines (Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon Blend and Merlot) are made. We use Bordeaux and Burgundy wine making techniques, aging our wines in 60-gallon oak barrels. Minimum filtration and fining allows the wine to retain its fullest flavors. In addition to these wines, an Italian-style Muscat Canelli is produced. The vineyard is located between the cypress-lined East and West Sister Creeks. A restored 1885 cotton gin houses the winery. |
